Class size in my room is typically over 30 students for many periods a day (we have seven periods of approximately 50 minute classes). My current class arrangement of desks creates an environment of limited mobility. They are in rows facing the board and most rows are 8 desks long which makes it difficult for the majority of students to even see the board. High percents of special needs students also creates a situation where peer tutoring and group work would be largely beneficial, but the logistics of my room does not allow that to happen as much as it needs to each day.
