These items are meant to help lead explicit and engaging instruction. Students lose focus and with a projector, I could model instruction exactly, and then make the lesson interactive as well. I also chose items that will motivate students to pick up a good book and get comfortable (rugs and bean bags). The highlighters and clipboards are a huge help for text evidence trivia games. Dry erase boards would be great for multiple choice questions or practicing grammar. I started teaching in February. Without a lot of materials I somehow survived (thank you dollar store and flocabulary), turning every lesson into a game or trivia. These materials would make our learning environment so much more fun.
