About my class

In my classroom, my 7th grade students participate in reading and writing workshops to improve their reading and writing literacy. During reading instruction, I will be able to demonstrate how to effectively annotate literature and teach students how to interact with a text on a deeper level. Students will be able to use the digital paper during collaborative learning groups to work together and learn from each other while annotating literature. With the Sony Digital Paper DPT RP1 eBook reader 16 GB 13 3, my students will be able to participate in collaborative learning while increasing their reading and writing literacy. With this tool, students will be able to work collaboratively to demonstrate how to use annotation skills in reading thus helping students learn how to connect with the texts they are reading. Additionally, students will be able to collaborate together in writing workshops to help foster editing and revising skills. This will help the collaborative group work together efficiently using the 21st century skills that we are trying to foster in the classroom.
