Starting in at a brand new charter school brings excitement and anxiety for both the teachers and students. Entering into a brand new school we have few resources as we are just getting started. Flexible seating has been proven to help students focus and be productive. When students are uncomfortable they are distracted and unproductive. By introducing flexible seating into my classroom my students will be given the opportunity to be productive and learn more. Many of the students enrolling in this new school have been bullied repeatedly where nothing has been done. Bullying is a huge distraction within schools. This school is giving them an opportunity to start fresh. I want to make sure my students have every opportunity to learn without distractions. Flexible seating in my classroom will help me accomplish this task.
