I want to provide STEAM bins for my students so that way they can engage in creative thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration with other students. My school is a STEAM school; therefore, I want my students to be able to engage in these activities daily. These resources will allow my students to create, design, engineer, and explore. These MakerSpace supplies will allow my students to experience STEAM activities with hands-on learning. Given specific tasks, the students will be able to work independently or collaboratively to problem solve. For example, students may be asked to build a bridge and using the resources in the bin they are challenged to do so. These bins will be used for when students have finished their work, need a brain break, or as an alternative to morning work. I love seeing how creative the students are and believe they are gaining important knowledge while they interact with STEAM bins.
