The products I have chosen will give my students some basic items needed in the classroom, but also a few items that will be of great use to help engagement and higher quality work. The class set of headphones is something that will help to increase student on task behavior during individual computer assignments, therefore resulting in higher level learning and less distractions for kiddos who struggle to stay on task. The bouncy chair bands are also a tool used to help the kiddos move without distracting their peers. My classroom seating arrangement is made up of 4 seat tables, therefore keeping each kiddo on task as much as possible will help the entire table. With almost half of my students coming from low economic homes; the basic products will help bridge the gap and increase learning potential because they will not have to worry about supplies. Our district is trying to help alleviate the cost of returning to school, but in turn our supplies have been greatly cut. Some kids come with no supplies at all. This project will not only help make coming back to school easier for many, but also give a few perks such as the headphones & bouncy chair bands.
