I am moving to Kindergarten after teaching 2nd Grade for 16 years. Due to an increase in enrollment, we have had to add another Kindergarten class, so supplies for centers are limited. Kindergarten students need lots of hands-on learning. The activities and manipulatives will allow students to work productively in centers while I teach a small group. Students will be more engaged in their learning using manipulatives and hands-on activities during centers. My hope is that the students will develop more critical thinking skills with the Design and Build Engineering Centers. Students will work on alphabet skills, word building, and rhyming with the literacy centers. They will work on sorting, counting, adding, and building shapes using the math centers.
