Each quarter we read a class novel and incorporate lessons in comprehension, strategies, examples of genre, and much more. By having a novel for each student, this will enable them to read in class, at home, and on the go. The novels will allow students to explore diversity that is in our society, and give them a guide to view strengths and difficulties in the characters. A personal copy will allow students needing additional time to keep up, or re-read materials the opportunity to do so without calling attention to others in class. Therefore allowing for an equitable classroom environment.

About my class
