Scope magazine is such an excellent tool to use in my classroom with my talented students. Each issue contains current topics about world events, which completely engage my students. Additionally, the magazine contains adaptations for many of the classics, which my students thoroughly enjoy. The magazines help spark their imaginations with great writing prompts and poetry selections. The debate topics in the issues also encourage my students to freely express their points of view, helping them to practice writing, speaking, and listening skills. My students also enjoy the articles which shine a light on current issues such as environmental concerns.
