This project is going to be used to help my students develop and strengthen their fine motor skills. They will have morning bins with various manipulatives such as tweezers, magnets, lacing cards, sorting tools and so on. If my students can strengthen the muscles in their hands, they will be able to effectively write, cut, glue, mold, build and construct things precisely. Fine motor skills are needed for muscular, skeletal and neurological developments in the brain and body. The things we do with our hands are connected to how our brain processes movements and how we see things. This is a crucial age to make sure our students are developing in their fine motor skills so that it carries into their future.
