My first year teaching a self-contained class is going wonderfully! We have just finished our first novel together I am am eager to get moving our next. While I had read our first novel several times, I want our next adventure to be one we all experience for the first time together. The world of Harry Potter is completely new to me and all 17 of my fifth graders! For many years, my daughter has consistently encouraged me to read Harry Potter and I was unable to see how it could fit into my schedule with 3 and 4 math classes. This year is completely different and I believe my students and I are up for the challenge. In order to fully benefit academically from this novel, I believe it to be essential that each person have a copy of the book in front of them. Would you please consider helping our class dive into magic of Harry Potter?
