I will use the dramatic play materials and blocks to create centers for students to use during math, literacy and science centers. Students will engage in dramatic play using the dolls. This play will incorporate math as students create schedules, menus, and grocery lists in their play. The blocks can be used in both math and literacy centers as students count, classify , sort and pattern. Students will use the magnifying glasses as they deeply observe their outdoor environment. While I know that students learn best from investigating their worlds and interacting with each other while they do that, I also know that these investigations are deeper and more complex when there are high quality hands-on materials to facilitate those investigations.
