Offering my visual arts students K-10th grade access to technology via iPads will undoubtedly create more meaningful learning experiences. Assignments can go more in depth as we create layers using a mixed media approach. I envision projects that can start with researching a topic using the iPad, create and manipulate the assignment in a design program and then bringing it to life as a 3d model. I do not intend on replacing pencil and paper but marrying it with technology so that students can see how they benefit and work together. All my students could benefit from enjoying another way of learning through apps that offer educational art games, puzzles and quizzes. Currently my art students do not have access to technology in the art room. I know that if I can offer them resources such as iPads I would see their creativity blossom .
