I am a VERY interactive teacher. I walk around, I talk with my students, I use personal stories while teaching to make the topics more relevant to them. And I am constantly writing on my board at school to circle things, solve math problems, and model complex biological processes. In this new virtual learning environment, I want to be able to teach my students the best way I can and to provide them the same (or better!) learning experience as when we are face to face. This tool will help me teach my students more effectively and in a more engaging way. Students will directly benefit from this tool because it will help me make learning more interactive by allowing me to write/draw on a tablet to demonstrate how to do various things in our science classroom, such as how to correctly solve math problems, genetics problems, graph data, etc. Typically, I use a whiteboard in a face to face environment. However, since I will be virtually teaching my students this year, I want to still be able to demonstrate how to do these things. With the Wacom tablet, I can write on the tablet and share with my students in real time!
