These materials will support a year-long project that will explore environmental systems and global climate change issues. We will use these materials to build and test Eco-Columns that will teach students how to collect and analyze data, examine nutrient cycling, limiting factors, decomposition, wastewater treatment, and water and soil quality. Most importantly, we will develop knowledge of natural systems, how they connect, and how they are changing due to human impact. We will apply our knowledge to brainstorm and create solutions to problems in our city and global climate change. These projects will be shared at an end-of-year Youth Climate Summit!
