With a library, I will implement a Free Voluntary Reading program where students will be encouraged to read just for the enjoyment of reading. A classroom library will help my students develop confidence as they learn to read, speak, and interact in Spanish. Reading is the best way for students to grow vocabulary, fluency, and confidence in any language, and especially in a second language. A class library will provide students with access to a variety of books with varying topics and difficulty levels so that students of all levels can be appropriately challenged. Having books at the students' reading level is important as students develop confidence.
