I am moving from first to second with my same group of students. They love reading and have read every book I have in my library. They currently love both the series I am looking to collect. I am striving to instill in them a love for reading and a desire for comprehension and in order to do that I am looking to build a collection of books I know they will love and relate to on some level. I believe these books will spark discussion, new vocabulary, deeper thinking, use of comprehension skills, and so much more. My hope is that students will be able to work with one another to dig into the text without being prompted...because they loved reading them that much!
