For our low income and at-risk students these below materials will make a difference accelerating their learning by helping Poinciana Park Elem achieve letter grade "A": TT429 - Develops skills in using strategies to add and subtract fluently within 20 and decomposing numbers within 10 into pairs in more than one way - PP49 - Develops skills in identifying characters, settings and major events in a story. This will build reading comprehension skills. PP246 - Develops skills in letter-sound correspondences and decoding one- and two-syllable words. GG809 - Develops skills in building simple words, identifying beginning, middle and ending sounds and decoding. PP151CP – Students practicing matching letters and sound to building essential language skills. JJ311 –Bingo exploring uppercase and lower case alphabets game. JJ315 - Bingo game gives students a super-fun way to master beginning sounds. DD468 - Develops skills in operations & algebraic thinking, base 10 and modeling with mathematics. PP929 – Whole Group develops skills in mathematical practice, operations & algebraic thinking, and number & operations in base 10. Within the first month of school, this teacher's goal is to establish a pre-test phonics and phonemic awareness with reading comprehension included. Testing each student with mathematical skills test. Throughout my skill testing and along with State's testing, I will be able to refine each student's learning needs. Each ordered material will be used intermittently after whole group and small group, lesson. Pairing students into two's and four's to reinforce what is taught during whole group and small group instruction. Applying differentiated instruction that can tailor each learners needs. These materials will help this teacher construct a Universal Design for each student. I will be able to pair students with different phonic and math materials to make learning engaging, sustainable, and fun.
