I would be so thankful to be able to have these rugs and reading material in order for my students to sit comfortably while reading a good book. I have used my creative skills to my utmost ability to create a bright, but warm reading corner for my students. Being able to teach my students how to read excites me the most about my first year because I love seeing their eyes light up and the smile spread across their face when they realize that they just read a full sentence on their own! I plan on using engaging books to read aloud to my students with prosody to teach them different life lessons, skills that go along with our math or reading lessons, and just to show them how much fun reading can truly be! After listening to the story, I hope it motivates them to want to read as well. Then, they will have plenty of access to find that "right book."
