These markers and anchor chart paper will engage the students in cooperative learning. They will be used in a wide variety of centers/work stations where students can learn from peers. They will create posters with vocabulary and various mathematical concepts using the anchor paper. These will be kept up on the walls as references. There is more buy in with student created tools. The dry erase markers will provide the students with a alternative medium for calculating math problems both independently and collaboratively. They will also allow the teacher to quickly monitor for student understanding of critical concepts and skills.
