As you can imagine, first graders are full of energy! We are constantly moving around the room and engaging in hands-on activities. It is fun, crazy, and exciting! But our current classroom setup is not ideal for this type of environment. These flexible seating options will not only create more space in the classroom, allowing for more movement around the room, but they will also provide students with multiples options and opportunities to find success in the classroom in a way that works for them. Not everyone learns the same and not everyone focuses the same. My hope is that this project will encourage my students to have a growth mindset and learn what works for them.
