Flexible seating not only allows children the opportunity to work in various areas around the classroom rather than sitting in their seats throughout the day, but it also provides children with the opportunity to have a say in how they would like to learn. Entering my first year of teaching, I do not have any flexible seating to help my children be successful with their learning. By including the stools, balance balls, and rugs, I will be able to provide my students with choices for how they would like to learn, and help them get excited about learning! The students can then use the colorful clipboards around the room with the flexible seating options. I want to create a classroom environment that is inviting and helps creates a "classroom family." My kiddos and I will be entering third grade together and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us!
