All students are required to keep a composition book for Social Studies, which I provide for them. This book will hold their maps from every country in the world, facts, and content vocabulary. With 170 students, it’s crucial to have good organization. The tape helps them mark their composition books so they can quickly identify their book and retrieve it quickly and easily, before the tardy bell rings. The colored pencils are essential because they have to create maps of every country and they are required to color each map. Students put in a lot of time and effort in their composition books and it becomes a great reference for them to refer back to in preparation for Unit tests.
