Every Thursday my high school has adopted the “Stop Everything and Read” initiative. These books will allow my students to all read the same books and have class discussions about the stories. The goal is to encourage reading and math as well as deepen their interest in Math by looking at it from different perspectives demonstrated through this literature. I hope to use this opportunity to reach all my students but especially those that are resistant to Mathematics. I’m excited about the learning and growth that will result from incorporating these readings into our Math class. Thank you for helping us!
