Last year, I began flexible seating in my classroom. I saw how giving students the choice of where they sit everyday gave them ownership over their own learning. The layout and set up of furniture and seating choices contributed to building a classroom community and lent itself to collaboration among the students. Each and every student learns differently. To meet the needs of all of my students, I began implementing flexible seating in my classroom. Flexible seating allows student to move, choose a seat where they are most comfortable to learn, and gives those students sensory input. The stability ball chairs would be a great addition to our classroom and would give my students another seating choice throughout the day.
