My students are always moving, physically and mentally. Flexible seating would allow my students to move their body physically so they have the ability to move around mentally. Every part of our day is structured around the students and meeting them right where they are. So why isn’t standard issue seating conducive to that setup? My students love the rock, sit, stand, and roll. I know that their chairs aren’t giving them the best support and they know it too. The seating I have chosen will provide that support we all know second grade students need. Not only will it support my current little learners but it will be able to provide the necessary mobility support for all other learners who come through my door for years to come.
