My students are excited about music and they long for instruments they can play themselves. In the two weeks I've had with them, I can see how enthusiastic they are about learning music. These ukuleles are a perfect first string instrument for them. I visualize creating a uke "choir"!! Many of my students come from low-income households and cannot afford to purchase an instrument. These ukuleles would be a great first instrument for them. They would be used to teach them the skills of hard work and the benefit of practice. They would also spark their creativity and love of learning.
