My Kindergarten students can range from a young five to an older six year old. This range comes with many different developmental stages. Many young children have difficulty sitting in “traditional” style seating and prefer either sitting on the floor or standing. Those that do like to sit usually also like to wiggle or move in their seat. Flexible seating will give me the freedom to teach in a developmentally appropriate environment, that is “comfortable” for students and still conducive to learning. I am confident that by offering my little ones a better choice for seating I am taking a lot of the normal distraction from the class and leaving more time for fun and learning!
