My students benefit from a calm classroom that supports seating choices and sensory objectives for breaks and/or incentives to support their academic and behavioral learning. These young kiddos love the chance to sit in a different spot or on a bean bag when completing difficult/challenging academic work. Having activities and games that change up how I teach social/emotional skills will help boost their excitement for taking on tough learning tasks. My students need to take breaks and kinetic sand is something that will help center themselves during crisis. These tools within this project will help create a safe and inviting classroom that will promote student growth academically and behaviorally.
