We are a class of 21 third graders in a rural community. Our school budget was voted down, so we are working with an austerity budget. My children are full of energy and love science. I would love to have my students along with other classes to be outdoors planting seeds and taking care of plants. Following the lead of Michelle Obama, I would like to create a vegetable and herb garden for our school. Due the previous help of generous donors, we have already started planting seeds indoors. My students are learning important science and nutritional concepts. They are also learning how working together can be rewarding and fun.
