First grade students are expected to meet with me in small groups and individually at a kidney table daily. This helps me provide them with the level of instruction that each individual child is ready to receive. Since they are expected to do some of their daily learning in a traditional seat at their desks, the wobble chairs will help them continue to focus on expected learning while getting physical activity at the same time. The wobble cushions have a similar purpose, but will be used either on the floor when student work on individual responsibilities within cooperative groups or they may place it on their traditional chair when their focus is being challenged. The students' academic productivity will be stronger when they have parts of their school days moving their bodies on these special tools.
