My project is to raise enough money to purchase a doc camera for my classroom. I teach Spanish, and it is very difficult to show my kids the nuances of the language while standing in front of what they need to see on the whiteboard. Having a doc cam would allow me to be out of the way of my students, work with them in real time to improve their writing and note taking skills, and be able to watch them while they work. This would ensure that I catch confusion and keep them on task. This would also help my students with their creativity. Currently, any project they do has to be able to be projected from a computer. If I had a doc cam, the students could present their drawings, books, magazines etc; in a way that the whole class could see the project. My students would be so grateful if we could have a doc cam for our classroom.
