With my students being from a poverty stricken neighborhood, some of them lack the basic hygiene needs to cope with everyday living. My students do their best with what they have. The purchase of the towels and body wash allows the students to clean themselves properly. The spray deodorant keep the students body odor at a minimal. With my years of teaching, I have seen that some of the students don't have personal hygiene items such as the deodorant and lotion. In the classroom, the use of Germ-X and Lysol helps to elevate germs. Once at school, the students can't concentrate on their work because they lack the confidence in themselves. By providing them with some of the basics needs, this allows the students to become more confident and more successful in classroom. When they believe in themselves and not have to worry about the basic necessities their success level sky rockets. A clean environment helps the students to be more productive.
