My students will have the chance to choose what seat helps them learn their best. Choosing a seat such as a yoga ball or disc seat will allow them to have ownership over the lesson and focus on the material at the same time. Five year olds are not used to sitting for so long during a school day. Full day kindergarten is a long time for students to stay focused on all of the material being introduced to them, especially my students with developmental delays. Letting kindergartners make choices, be comfortable, learn and rock their day will for very happy students and teachers.
