Not all students are excited to be at school, and if a child finds math difficult, they are not at all eager to learn. I give my students a bright and engaging environment in which they are rewarded for their work. Rewarding students in a cheerful and encouraging manner aides in their participation during the lesson. After all, participation is key to learning. All students will be given a punch card in which they will be able to earn punches. Once they reach ten punches, they will be able to shop for rewards of their choosing. As you can see from my cart, I choose bright. I don't necessarily have a themed room. I want the room to be cheery and welcoming to all students. I send special notes home on brightly colored paper. I like to surprise students with personalized notes being left on their desks. I can't wait to start leaving special coins for my students. I always want my students to know how much I appreciate their hard work and effort. Appreciation and personal notes go a long way with kids.
