Providing students will the most basic school supplies will keep them engaged and motivated throughout their learning journey in 3rd grade! Printed awards on colored paper is motivating for students to see and receive. Allowing students to practice their cursive on boogie boards and dry erase products (pocket sleeves and circles) will help them better succeed. We read various texts throughout the year in social studies and ELA, and highlighting important information is a critical skill to learn and understand as students are reading for text evidence. Organization in the classroom is an important factor in establishing a positive culture. Lunchbox notes are encouraging and allow students to receive praise on a cute tangible note that they can keep and cherish throughout the year.
