It is important that students with Autism learn from a young age what will help them to self-regulate. In my classroom, I want my students to learn positive coping skills. To help them, I need specific tools in my classroom that they can utilize. -Weighted blankets help with sensory processing needs! My classroom having four of them will allow my students to have access to them and take them with them to other spaces in the school. -Tactile pillows will be in the calm corner and help to soothe students who are upset. -A Hoberman Sphere helps students to be conscious of their breath and learn to take deep breaths. -Moods and Emotions Wooden Match-up will teach students to accurately identify emotions in themselves and others.
