Spanish resources are scarce, and without them, it is difficult to truly give students the learning experience they deserve. As students become bilingual and bi-literate, it is important for students to have access to a variety of leveled books in Spanish. These Spanish books will provide all my students with an opportunity to have leveled books to strengthen their literacy skills in Spanish. When working with a student or a group of students to develop their decoding abilities in Spanish, having a variety of books to choose from, makes learning more meaningful for students. I look forward to adding more books to my classroom library so students can learn to love reading. Other hands-on activities such as the flashcards, word builders and syllable charts will help students strengthen their literacy skills in Spanish by providing hands-on opportunities to share with their peers.
