Second Graders are still learning to read, and a big part of that is listening to others read. Unfortunately, most of the students in my class do not have anyone to read to them. Having a class set of quality headphones would help bridge the gap for my students being able to listen to others read to them. My students would also be able to document complete projects or work and listen to each other talk about their project. My students would have so much joy being able to listen to stories and complete computer programs to help them become better at typing and to help them become better readers. Having something as simple as headphones will enrich their learning by great lengths.
