Students will use their white boards in group settings where they will be divided up and asked to brainstorm their ideas together. They will have to collaborate, think critically and come to a consensus. Students will be asked to complete activities like role play groups or individuals in world history, identify and explain problems and solutions based on the historical situation presented to them. Lesson examples would include brainstorming grievances leading to the French Revolution or Russian Revolution, Pros and Cons of Dropping the Atomic Bomb, or reasons the United Nations should or shouldn't give money to a developing nation. Lastly, these boards are more practical than using poster paper. They are magnetic, therefore it will be easier to attach to a surface and present their ideas. Students' work can be stored until the next day since there will be enough of them for at least two classes. The boards will make it easier to write their ideas and change them if they like before they submit final drafts. It will also cut down on wasting paper. All we will have to do is erase the board for the next project!
