Our new curriculum requires students to create a PSA about water issues in the world. Due to our limited access to technology, I had to film each of my students' PSAs individually with my personal video camera which was very hard to hear when playing it to an audience because we didn't have a mic. This also took away from the students' creativity and independence on the assignment and left many students off-task while they were silently waiting for another group to finish. With these tablets, my students will be able to take control of their projects and adhere to deadlines while leaving more time for me to monitor and direct as needed within each group. This also holds the students more accountable for their work. Please help me make this dream a reality. I can't wait to see what my next group of students can do with independence and technology.
