I strongly believe in students having the opportunity to take their learning into their own hands. Having games that focus on math and language arts in the classroom that are on their level, and can accelerate their learning, will offer just that. Having access to hands-on activities will help my students to experience the content and form a better real-world understanding of it. As a first-year teacher, I want to offer my students the best learning opportunities I can, which can be hard when just starting out as a teacher. I want to give my students every chance I can to experience the concepts we are learning about and take the learning out of being textbook only. A classroom library is so important and useful in the classroom and being able to see what books students are gravitating to can help me to see where they think they are at and help them to find books that are a good fit for them. As they say, a good book can make a "nonreader" love reading.
