My students love to learn with technology and with the technology world growing, I think it is crucial for classrooms to be equipped with technology to enhance the learning process. We are requesting four Kindle Fires so students can listen to audiobooks, do research on projects, and to enhance their learning in the classroom. With these tablets, my lower-level students will be able to listen to stories they might not be able to read yet. My higher-level students could start reading chapter books. I could use the tablet to start research projects on topics that my students are interested in. I would also use the tablets to help with intervention. A child may learn addition better by playing an addition game rather than using paper and pencil. These tablets would enhance my classroom tremendously.
