Within my materials, I have everyday classroom supplies such as pencils, scissors, pens, highlighters, crayons and staplers. These are all necessary to have a functional learning environment in which students can use materials to learn and show their learning. Many students will either not have access to these or be able to supply them, therefore I find it necessary to have these and extras to make sure all students are prepared for learning. I have also included organization materials such as planners, calendars and organizers in order for me to be organized. As an educator, organization is crucial for me to set my students up for success! Secondly, the most I believe it necessary to include flexible seating for students of different backgrounds, needs, and abilities which is why I have included alternative seating within my materials as well. These include bean bags, and a stayNplace chair. Within my experience specific students tend to thrive with simple adjustment and adaptions to create a flexible and safe learning environment.
