Through providing the option of flexible seating, kids are better equipped to learn in the least restrictive ways. All too often, kids get bored or uncomfortable in their learning environments because they are expected to "stay put" which significantly impacts their learning. Flexible seating, however, keeps them engaged and mobile, while they work independently or collaboratively at various tasks and activities. Flexible seating is more than "exciting seats," it is student buy-in. Enabling choice and variation aids in creating a learning environment that is student-focused, rather than teacher focused. Differentiating the ways in which students learn will aid in meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
