I plan on using flexible seating in my classroom as a way to offer my students a choice for conducting their learning. By offering students a choice of where to sit and allowing them to be comfortable as they learn, they will be more motivated and productive. I am wanting to implement a flexible seating classroom because I want to encourage my students to build their communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking skills, which flexible seating helps develop. Lastly, flexible seating will allow me to do more whole group activities that are engaging and interactive as I will have more space in my classroom. This project will allow me to offer my students three different options for flexible seating: stools, KinderCushions, and wobble cushions. The clip boards and dry erase boards will make flexible seating easy and convenient.
