I value diversity and desire for my students to recognize the differences that they have with each other as a beautiful and good part of who they are. Because each of them have their own best way of learning, I want to be sure that I am doing everything I can to help them grow. Flexible seating gives my students the opportunity to do just this, by allowing my students to learn how they work best and then to decide responsibly where they need to work to succeed in the classroom. Some students will work best sitting on a chair at their desk, while others will find that they work better sitting on a bean bag chair with a clipboard and their book bin right beside them. Regardless of what option they choose, they can find a spot that is comfortable for them to do their best work at.
