Having a classroom rug will allow students to have a comfortable whole group experience outside of their desks. This rug will be used for a work space during independent work times, a great community space for students to gather for whole group, and an alternative way of sitting during small group instruction. Students will have access to this rug at all times of the day to better feel comfortable in my classroom. Also having a rug with boxed letter sections will give them ownership over a spot and allow for better focus and attentiveness during lessons. Something as simple as a rug can be a great way to improve their skills during the day!
