These Chromebooks can be used with a variety of software such as Lexia Core5 Reading, Prodigy, myOn, and ABC Mouse. Having the five Chromebooks in the classroom will allow my students to rotate to different centers each day where they can practice and master language, math, and reading skills. For example, with Lexia Core5 Reading the students work on their current reading level and build on the skills they have already mastered. Lexia Core5 Reading allows the teacher to track students' progress. The data collected then provides the teacher with a guided reading lesson that helps the student master that skill. Prodigy provides the students with a standard based math lesson in the form of a video game. It also sends data back to the teacher with a full report of the classrooms' progress along with individual students' progress. We also need a charging cabinet to store and keep our Chromebooks ready to use.
