My students range from 10th grade English Language Arts students to 12th grade students in the Dual-Credit Composition I and II class. They are bright, eager, and energetic teenagers, always on the cusp of technological advancement. They are typically used to being bombarded by TV, computer games, social media, and computer usage in general. Our school population has about 70% on free and reduced school lunches. Even being in a rural town in the Midwest, we have a diverse population including students from the Philippines, Russia, Mexico, and students of African-American decent. Our school building itself was built in the 1960's and while it was a top design at the time, the huge circles our school consists of creates pie shaped classrooms. This makes room arranging a challenge.
